The renowned Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine has an excellent  Vegan Starter Kit which can be viewed online or downloaded from their website.

Visit the Toronto Vegetarian Association for vegan lunch ideas and take a look at their Veg Directory for listings of veg restaurants.

Films

Forks over Knives is the best documentary on the health case for a plant-based or vegan diet. You can order a copy from their website or from Amazon.

Making the Connection This Environment Films production (available free on-line) delivers “the facts in a relaxed and informal way. The film features eleven diverse contributors, which helps to maintain the upbeat pace and we included music from two Internationally renowned vegan hip-hop artists Promoe and Jah Sun to add to the contemporary feel of the film.”

Groups

Join the Toronto Vegetarian Association and attend their annual Veggie Food Festival on the second week of September.

The Vegan Society has a useful section on nutrition.
