How Can I Help?

  1. Carry vegan brochures with you and distribute them to friends, when the topic arises.
  2. Wear a button or tshirt with an animal rights message!
  3. Bring vegan food to work or to your family gatherings and invite people to take the Veggie Challenge
  4. Take friends to vegan restaurants. Check out the Toronto Vegetarian Association’s Veg Directory for a listing of veg restaurants in the area.
  5. Buy vegan cookbooks and share your favourite recipes
  6. Participate in animal activism. Attend a Toronto Pig Save weekly vigil and bear witness to the pigs, chickens, cows and sheep being sent to slaughter in our community.
  7. Join an animal rights group. See our list of local and international groups.
  8. Watch an animal rights and vegan films together. Poignant films include Earthlings, Forks over Knives, Peaceable Kingdom, and The Ghosts in Our Machine.
  9. Support and visit a farm sanctuaries. See list of local farm sanctuaries.
